Therapy is about healing: from the past, but also from your present way of thinking about the past, the present, and the future. Everyone has a "world view". That is, everyone sees the world through their own unique way of seeing themselves and the world around them. In therapy, we examine your world view and find ways to alter your thinking, your attitudes, and your behaviors to help you have the best life you can have.
This applies to your relationships, your career, your family, and yourself.
Clients very often want me to 'wave my magic wand' and make life work better for them. It doesn't happen that way. It takes work on your part to make the changes happen in your life. |

I am an action-oriented therapist. I ask you to do the work it takes to make the changes in your life. I will ask you to keep track of certain behaviors or thoughts; to read articles or whole books; to journal; to try experiments; or any intervention which seems appropriate for helping you change and with which you agree. I am primarily a cognitive-behavioral therapist with a major dose of Positive Psychology!
It is very important to me that you are accurately heard and understood. I will check with you often to make sure this is happening. Our work together is a meaningful experience. This experience is designed to change your life for the better.
The following is a list of concerns which usually bring people to my therapy practice:
- Anxiety
- Depression
- Relationship Issues
- Parenting
- Life Transitions
- Career Decisions
